NEO NL for the construction of new nuclear power plants
Today, Organisation Nuclear Energy Organisation (NEO NL) was established. NEO NL a central role in the preparation, construction, and operation of two new nuclear power plants in the Netherlands. In doing so, NEO NL a CO2-neutral, stable, and reliable energy supply.

NEO NL a policy participation with the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth (in the future: Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate) as its sole shareholder. The ministry establishes frameworks within which NEO NL carries out NEO NL tasks independently. NEO NL the values of safety, care, and social responsibility.

Choice of location and builder
Both nuclear power plants will be built at a single location. At present, the location of the nuclear power plants and the builder have not yet been decided. After the summer of 2026, the Minister of KGG, together with the Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning, will make a preliminary location decision (draft Preferred Decision). In the meantime, NEO NL is making NEO NL for the selection of the builder. After the final location has been chosen, NEO NL will take over NEO NL further planning and organisation that location from the Ministry of KGG.
