Do I need to have experience in the nuclear sector to be able to work at NEO NL ?
Building a nuclear power plant requires a wide range of expertise. This includes not only nuclear expertise, but also knowledge and skills in many other fields. So no, experience in the nuclear sector is not required for various positions. The job description specifies the experience that is required.
Is NEO NL an international organisation?
NEO NL a Dutch organisation by the Dutch government to build two nuclear power plants. Our goal is to help achieve the Dutch climate targets by producing low-carbon energy. To accomplish this task, we draw on a wealth of Dutch and international expertise and work closely with international partners. Our working language is English. That is why we see ourselves as both organisation Dutch and organisation international organisation.
What is the best educational path if I want to work at NEO NL after graduating?
The construction of two nuclear power plants offers opportunities for people with a wide range of educational backgrounds and talents. Technical professionals with vocational education and training, such as electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, or process engineers, play an essential role in construction, installation, and maintenance. HBO-educated professionals, including engineers, safety experts, and project planners, connect design and implementation and ensure quality, safety, and progress. WO-educated specialists, such as nuclear engineers, designers, and safety and risk analysts, work on the design, licensing, and assurance of the highest safety standards.
Can I also do an internship at NEO NL ?
We do not currently offer internships. When this becomes possible, we will announce it on our website.
