In addition to specialised nuclear activities, there will be a lot of work in the fields of engineering, construction, manufacturing, talent development, logistics, project management, and safety. Furthermore, thousands of people will be working on the project during construction, requiring housing, shopping, and recreational facilities.

NEO NL monitors these developments and actively exchanges knowledge to expand Dutch expertise. We also work with experts from other countries to make use of lessons learned from new nuclear construction projects in other countries.
By resultNEO NL is in dialogue with two technology suppliers, Électricité de France (EDF) and Westinghouse Electric Company (WEC). A tendering procedure will be conducted to select a technology supplier. Once this procedure has been completed, we will know who will build the nuclear power plants.
